Tyrone set to issue another statement of intent in Ulster

Monaghan and Donegal have made early statements of intent in Ulster with wide-margins wins last weekend and Tyrone can do likewise when they visit Celtic Park and prove themselves to be genuine All-Ireland contenders.

These sides met at the same stage in 2016 with Tyrone registering a comfortable 3-14 to 0-12 victory. Derry have shown nothing in the last 12 months to suggest they can get within six points of Mickey Harte's men.

Derry will be plying their trade in Division 3 of the league next spring and lack firepower up front to trouble the Tyrone defence. They failed to score a goal when the sides met 12 months ago and it is hard them creating enough chances to raise a green flag this time either. No Derry goal is priced at 11-10 with BoyleSports.

Tyrone conceded only four goals in Division 1 of the league against the best teams in the business and even managed to keep a clean sheet against All-Ireland champions Dublin.

Niall Sludden has become the key man for Tyrone. His pace posed Dublin all sorts of problems and it is hard to resist having a wager on him to win the man of the match award on RTE at a generous 10-1.

There are whispers suggesting that London can cause an upset in Connacht but preference is for Leitrim to cover a one-point handicap.

The absence of ace attacker Emlyn Mulligan is a blow but Leitrim have some decent young footballers who posed a quality Galway Under-21 side plenty of problems and they could do something similar to London on the senior stage.

Clare are hot favourites to take care of Limerick but the Treaty boys are better than the betting suggests and 8-11 about them getting 14 points is with taking. They have some quality forwards.
