Kilkenny vs Dublin predictions
GAA+, 3pm Sunday
Dublin have been moving nicely ahead of this crunch encounter having won all three of their games in convincing fashion, racking up some decent scores along the way, particularly against Wexford when their direct approach worked wonders in securing 3-26.
However, there have been a few false dawns with this Dublin side in recent times and last year they put up some excellent performances in the group stage before getting destroyed by Kilkenny in the Leinster final.
Niall O Ceallachain does seem to be building something decent in his first season but they can't be trusted to put it up to a side like Kilkenny until they prove it, especially given Derek Lyng's men are at home and will be highly motivated to get their spot in the Leinster decider wrapped up before they go to Wexford next week.
Kilkenny didn't shoot the lights out in the League but they have really found their stride and have slammed nine goals in their last three games. Back a home victory with plenty of scores on offer.
Tipperary vs Waterford predictions
RTE, 2pm Sunday
Tipperary will be flying high after defeating the All-Ireland champions last week but Waterford pose a serious challenge and appeal as an excellent bet at the prices.
Clare fought back valiantly against Tipperary but Liam Cahill's side built up too much of a lead in the first half after plundering four goals in the first half-hour. That purple patch was the deciding factor but they can't rely on goals against a Waterford side who have been airtight at the back, conceding few chances in their two games.
Waterford were a bit underwhelming against Limerick in their last outing but it could be argued that the Limerick side they faced was stronger than the one Tipperary drew with in the opening round, particularly as Kyle Hayes was reinstated at centre back and Dan Morrissey and Sean Finn returned to the fray.
Waterford are unbeaten in their last four championship games against Tipperary, and they are a marginally better side at the moment so 7-4 rates a huge price.
Limerick vs Cork predictions
RTE, 4pm Sunday
There's not many sports fixtures around more exciting than Limerick versus Cork in championship hurling and, as the bookies suggest, it's hard to split them this weekend.
Cork famously halted Limerick's drive for five in a row when defeating them twice last year in two epic encounters and they have gone from strength to strength since, illustrated by their 15-point hammering of Tipperary on their last outing, albeit they were playing against 14 men.
Limerick got off to a slightly stuttering start with a draw against the same opponents but with a couple of their marquee defenders back against Waterford, they looked really impressive in stretching to a six point win.
It's tricky to know which way this will go and the fact both are trading at evens illustrates that a bounce of a ball or a referee call could swing this.
Shane Barrett is a huge addition for Cork as he returns from suspension after his red card in the opening game. He's an exceptional talent and a big-game player so backing him to put in a stellar performance is the way to go.
