Tipperary v Waterford

TG4, 2pm Sunday

Waterford have impressed in winning all three of their league fixtures and the 11-4 about them toppling a Tipperary side who do not appear to have this competition as a priority looks all wrong.

There are numerous permutations as to who will fill the top three qualification places in Division 1A and Liam Cahill's men will be eager to keep their destiny within in their own control.

The new Deise boss is in an excellent position to pinpoint any weaknesses within Tipperary, having managed the Premier county to win in the Under-21 and Under-20 All-Ireland hurling finals in 2018 and 2019.

Cahill was even in the running to become Tipperary's senior manager until Liam Sheedy entered the equation, so he will be keen to make a big impression.

Tipperary, beaten in their opening two fixtures against Limerick and Cork, didn't hugely proved little with their 20-point win against Westmeath last week, with the Leinster outsiders totally up against it after going down to 14 men.

Meanwhile, Waterford showed resilience in holding off a rallying Galway side last weekend and seem keen to make their league campaign count.

They are cracking value to win the game and backing them with a four-point start looks too good to miss.

Galway v Cork

2pm Sunday

Cork have looked a superior outfit to Galway in the league but the Tribesmen are always tricky opponents to master at Pearse Stadium and they won't make it easy for the Rebels.

Galway have lacked consistency throughout the campaign but new manager Shane O'Neill will want a big performance from his troops in order to make their final divisional-round encounter with Tipperary worthwhile.

Joe Canning's late absence was a real blow before their defeat to Waterford last weekend, especially since they have generally struggled to get results away to the south-eastern side.

Cork have provided plenty of encouragement with their performances against Waterford, Tipperary and Limerick but they still failed to win two of those fixtures.

Winning when the chips are down hasn't been straightforward for the Rebels and they can expect to be fully tested again.

Galway are unbeaten in 12 of their last 13 league and championship games at Pearse Stadium, which could be the difference in this crunch tie between sides fighting for a place in the knockout stages.

Take the evens about Galway notching their second win of the campaign.

Clare v Dublin

2pm Sunday

Dublin took a step in the right direction despite their agonising defeat at home to Wexford last weekend but heading to Cusack Park to face an unbeaten Clare side will be an unenviable task for Mattie Kenny's men.

Clare were unbeaten at home in last year's league and have continued that run this season, 2-2 in Ennis, albeit against inferior sides Carlow and Laois.

They look to be really rolling under Brian Lohan's guidance and are the only side to beat an exciting Wexford outfit in this competition or the Walsh Cup in 2020.

Expect them to have too much for Dublin and cover the three-point handicap.

The Banner County's direct style saw them find their goalscoring form when bagging a hat-trick against Kilkenny last week and there could be further chances for them to rattle the net on Sunday.

Dublin conceded three goals in a dismal opening-round display against Kilkenny before allowing Laois to bag another two when getting back on track at Parnell Park.

They let in another brace of goals last week against Wexford so there could be some value in Clare to score at least two goals at 11-10.
