Don't expect Dubs to go all out to dominate

Roscommon look doomed and destined for Division 2 but that does not mean they can’t be competitive in this crunch clash with Dublin at Croke Park.

The All-Ireland and defending league champions are as short as 1-20 with some firms to win tonight and, while it would be the shock of the season if they didn’t, the nine-point handicap looks about three points wrong.

Roscommon have scored 1-13 in their last two outings, against Kerry and Monaghan, and while they were well beaten in both, they have proved themselves to have quite a useful attacking unit and could pose the Dubs defence some problems.

Dublin are not going to be going all out to secure a huge win, they will just want to keep their unbeaten run intact. This could be one of those workmanlike wins that Dublin do so well.

Even if Roscommon are completely outclassed, they ought to be able to score 13 points or more. It is odds-against that they do so with Paddy Power and that is worth taking. A decent wager on the visitors to beat the nine-point handicap is also advised.

Armagh have finally got going in Division 3 and have kicked some huge scores in their last couple of victories.

Antrim are really struggling and this should be a comfortable night for Kieran McGeeney’s men, who can win by double figures again. They looked excellent in their win over Louth.
