All-Ireland championship preview
Kerry should be odds-on to win their first All-Ireland since 2014 so the 11-8 with Betfred is certainly not to be scoffed at. There remains a bit of juice in that price.
It might seem short to some given they have gone seven years without getting their palms on the Sam Maguire, but they were relentless throughout the league and now have a manager with a proven track record.
Jack O'Connor is exactly what Kerry needed. He led the Kingdom to All-Ireland glory in 2004, 2006 and 2009 and the interesting thing about those three famous victories was that each of the years began with league glory - just as he has done in 2022.
O'Connor has instilled a bit of steel into Kerry's defence, and has managed to come up with a system that gives Jason Foley and Tom O'Sullivan more cover in the full-back line. They were badly exposed in last year's All-Ireland semi-final when Tyrone racked up 3-14 after extra-time.
The most Kerry conceded in this year's league was 1-15 and that was against Tyrone in the final round robin game when a place in the decider was already guaranteed. They conceded just 0-13 and 0-14 in their two outings with Mayo, while Dublin scored only 0-11 and Donegal 0-7. There is finally some meanness in the Kerry rearguard unit.
Their average concession in the league was 13 points per game. Last year it was 16 points and they allowed Dublin to score 4-9 in round two. It is hard to envisage Kerry conceding four goals in any game now. That day is long gone.
Kerry didn't just win most of their league outings, they annihilated teams. They had 15 points to spare over Mayo in the final, nine over Donegal, eight over Monaghan and seven over Dublin in what was their best display of the year.
Kerry managed to get their hands on spring silverware without their second-best player. Sean O'Shea will add more scoring power to the Kingdom attack when he returns and it bodes well that they were still able to score 3-19 without him against Mayo in the Division 1 decider.
David Clifford, without any shadow of a doubt, is the best around. His 1-6 in the win over Mayo was glorious, with all bar one point coming from play.
If Clifford can stay fit, along with his older brother Paudie who is a workhorse, Sean O'Shea and Paul Geaney, it is hard to see how Kerry can be stopped. There is now serious competition for places up front too with Adrian Spillane, Dara Moynihan and Stephen O'Brien coming back into form.
It all seems to be coming together nicely for O'Connor as midfielder David Moran, out of action since last December's county final, returned for his club Kerins O’Rahilly’s in last week's loss to Spa. Stefan Okunbor was also a welcome addition to the Na Gaeil side in their defeat at the hands of Kilcummin.
Kerry are 1-25 with Paddy Power to win Munster and Cork won't be posing them any problems in the province this year. With Dublin out of sorts in the league and Tyrone losing seven of their squad from last year, the 11-8 on offer about them going all the way sounds pretty good.
Indeed, it could be Donegal who pose the biggest threat to Kerry. You shouldn't read much into their league campaign given the amount of key players they were without and the draw in Ulster has been kind to them.
They have home advantage in Ballybofey for their provincial quarter-final clash with Armagh, and Donegal are hard to beat on home soil.
If Donegal get through that tussle they have Antrim or Cavan in the Ulster semi-final and that should be a formality. Tyrone, Monaghan and Derry are all in the other side of the draw.
This is Michael Murphy's last chance of silverware at 32, while Paddy McBreaty was breathtaking at various stages of the league.
He kicked seven points in their win over Armagh in the final round of the league and that minimum-margin win did not do their superiority justice. They were by far the better team for long periods and would have won comfortably had Michael Murphy not sent a 52nd-minute penalty wide.
Declan Bonner has introduced new blood to complement experienced campaigners Murphy, McBrearty and Jamie Brennan, and Donegal will never get a better chance to win another Ulster title with this team. Odds of 100-30 about Donegal doing just that is the best bet of the entire football championship.
Mayo look too short for Connacht given how lethargic they looked in the league final and with so many injury doubts hanging over key players, so getting on Galway at 3-1 looks the play.

Preview
David Clifford gets all the accolades for his outrageous scoring contributions but older brother Paudie makes Kerry tick and he should be backed at 25-1 to be awarded Footballer of the Year at the end of the campaign.
Paudie Clifford controls the tempo of Kerry's play and his relentless running is invaluable. He has also started to get himself in behind defences and into goalscoring positions, adding yet another string to his bow.
He could have netted two goals in the league final win over Mayo had he been more clinical. He was awarded man of the match twice in last year's championship, including in Kerry's Munster final victory over Cork.
Donegal could do a bit of damage at the end of this year's championship, and given they will avoid Tyrone, Monaghan and Derry until an Ulster final, they are fancied to add an 11th provincial title this year.
Ryan McHugh was utilised in a more attacking role by Declan Bonner during the league and it is hard not to have a little nibble on him at 100-1 in the Football of the Year market too. His engine is remarkable.
Galway might upset Mayo in the the Connacht quarter-final and, if they do that, they face London or Leitrim in the last four of the province. There is the potential to rack up a huge score in that encounter so Shane Walsh catches the eye in the championship top scorer market at 16-1.
The Tailteann Cup is a new addition to the 2022 championship and Westmeath look value at 6-1.
A confidence boosting win over Longford in their Leinster opener can kickstart the campaign before a likely provincial exit.
