Free darts tips, best bets and analysis for Wednesday's PDC Home Tour semi-finals.

What is the PDC Home Tour?

The PDC announced a new event to keep sport rolling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Home Tour event has now reached the semi-final stage and will be streamed on bookmaker websites.

Each session starts at 7.30pm and will see four stars do battle in round-robin groups which are played over the best-of-11 legs.

The semi-finals will consist of two groups of four with the top two from each making up a four-man Championship group to determine the overall competition winner on Friday June 5.

Wednesday's PDC Home Tour semi-final Group A preview

Just eight players remain in the PDC Home Tour and although there have been upsets aplenty there should be nothing unusual about the outcome of the first semi-final with group favourite Gary Anderson taken to stamp his authority.

Wi-Fi woes almost scuppered Anderson’s chances before he got started in the event but after fixing his connection issues he was given his shot and has grasped the opportunity with both hands.

The Flying Scotsman, a two-time world champion and UK Open winner, would be no match for his next trio of opponents at his best and there have been enough bursts of brilliance in his two evening’s of action to suggest he’s close to peak performance.

Anderson dropped just four legs in seeing off Kim Huybrechts, Dimitri Van den Bergh and Dirk van Duijvenbode in phase one of the competition and was equally as impressive in phase two, topping the charts with a 100 per cent record.

Dave Chisnall is the obvious danger in the final four but has been known to falter in the latter stages of a competition.

Jelle Klaasen is capable but was fortunate to progress from the playoffs with a group average of 87.48, while Belgian youngster Mike De Decker would need a career-best performance to deny a fully wound-up Anderson.
