Tom Cairney value to strike first for Fulham

Promotion contenders should continue red-hot form with win over Leeds

Fulham have won nine of their last ten Sky Bet Championship home games and bookmakers fully expect them to extend that sequence against mid-table Leeds.

The one blot on Fulham’s recent record came when the promotion contenders blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with QPR in their last fixture at Craven Cottage.

However, Slavisa Jokanovic’s side returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at Norwich on Friday and, since a shock defeat at Sunderland on December 16, they have taken 43 points from a possible 51.

Despite that red-hot run of form, the Cottagers are unlikely to overhaul second-placed Cardiff but they should be far too slick for a Leeds side who have been outclassed by the stronger teams in the division this season.

The Yorkshire club lost their four meetings with leaders Wolves and Cardiff by an aggregate score of 14-3 and were thumped 3-0 at playoff hopefuls Middlesbrough last month.

Tuesday EFL tips

Influential Spanish forward Samuel Saiz should be fit to start after a hamstring injury but the attacking options available to the visitors won’t concern a Fulham side who have scored 21 goals in eight home league games since the turn of the year.

Top scorer Ryan Sessegnon and in-form Aleksandar Mitrovic dominate the goalscorer markets but midfielder Tom Cairney is worth supporting at the prices.

Primarily a creative influence, the Fulham skipper has found his shooting boots in recent weeks with three goals in four games and he has scored in his last four outings against Leeds.
