Stirling can bridge divisional gap with Brechin
Action starts from 7.30pm Tuesday
There are no obvious signs that playoff heroes Brechin are ready for the rigours of a Ladbrokes Scottish Championship campaign and, at the prices, they could be worth taking on at Stirling in the Betfred Cup.
Stirling have chalked up one win from two games in their Group A programme, a tasty 3-1 success at Forfar.
On the other hand, Brechin head for Forthbank having won a penalty shootout against Forfar three days after being on the wrong end of a drubbing at Inverness.
Just two days ago Darren Dods sent out a strong Brechin team against Aberdeen – a match they lost 4-1 – and a 48-hour turnaround isn’t ideal. There are two divisions between the sides but at this stage of the summer, the outsiders are well worth a poke.
Recommendation
