Free football tips, best bets and analysis for Derby County v Nottingham Forest and Bristol City v Cardiff City in the Sky Bet Championship on Saturday.

Derby County v Nottingham Forest

Sky Sports Football & Main Event, 12.30pm Saturday

Best bet

Both teams to score
3pts 4-5 general

Team news

Derby
Jayden Bogle is doubtful after suffering a knee injury in the win at Preston.

Nottingham Forest
Forest hope Matty Cash (head) and Joe Lolley (ankle) will recover from knocks sustained in midweek. Albert Adomah has returned from his loan spell at Cardiff.

Match preview

A five-match winning streak has galvanised Derby's charge towards a playoff place but East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest are also full of confidence after moving up to fourth in the table.

Derby, inspired by the January arrival of Wayne Rooney, have scored in all 17 of their league games since Christmas although they struggle to keep clean sheets and both teams have scored in eight of their last ten.

Forest have an excellent record away from home against the Sky Bet Championship big guns, winning four and drawing two of their road trips to top-eight teams, and an entertaining encounter looks likely at Pride Park.

Bristol City v Cardiff City

Sky Sports Football, 3pm Saturday

Best bet

Cardiff
2pts 13-10 general

Team news

Bristol City
Ashley Williams starts a three-match ban following his red card at Nottingham Forest.

Cardiff
Albert Adomah has returned to parent club Nottingham Forest. Robert Glatzel faces a late fitness test and Lee Tomlin is pushing for a start.

Match preview

Playoff-chasing Cardiff's surge was halted by a goalless draw at home to Charlton in midweek but the Bluebirds have won four of their last five away matches and can see off faltering Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The Robins have taken just two points from their last eight games and have lost to Blackburn, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest since the season restarted.

Cardiff beat title favourites Leeds in their first game after the resumption and Neil Harris's attacking options are boosted by the return to fitness of top scorer Lee Tomlin, who could make his first start since February.
