Nottingham Forest have spent most of the season languishing in the lower reaches of the Championship but they have played more like promotion chasers in 2021, collecting 17 points from nine games, and look decent value to defeat Rotherham at the New York Stadium.

There are limits to what Forest can achieve because they remain much closer to the bottom three than the playoffs, but they are heading in the right direction under Chris Hughton, who has a strong record in the second tier.

The Tricky Trees look nice and solid at the back, keeping clean sheets in four of their last six games, and another shutout would give them a great chance against the Millers, who are on a three-game losing sequence.

Rotherham played some decent football in a 1-0 defeat at Norwich on Saturday but their difficult run may be set to continue.
