Poland have been relegated from Nations League A but can finish their Group Three campaign on a high by beating sectional winners Portugal in Guimaraes.

The match still carries plenty of significance for the Poles as they aim for a top-ten ranking among the League A teams, ensuring they are in pot one for the Euro 2020 qualifying draw which takes place on December 2 in Dublin.

Head coach Jerzy Brzeczek has named a strong squad featuring star attackers Robert Lewandowski and Arkadiusz Milik giving them a double threat in the final third.

From a Portugal perspective the match is far less significant.

The European champions sealed top spot in the group by drawing 0-0 with Italy at San Siro on Saturday and head coach Fernando Santos may choose to look at some of his fringe players as part of a process of building towards the start of Euro 2020 qualifying.

Cristiano Ronaldo is absent from the squad – as he has been since the start of the Nations League – and left-back Mario Rui and midfielder Ruben Neves are serving suspensions having collected two yellow cards. Bernardo Silva has withdrawn due to injury.

Poland will be stronger than they were last month with Leeds midfielder Mateusz Klich available after a ban and look overpriced to register their first win of the group.

Kosovo and Azerbaijan have promotion on their minds as they go head-to-head in Pristina for the right to finish top of the group.

There is a huge amount at stake with the group winners knowing they will only be two steps away from securing a berth at Euro 2020.

And Kosovo have the advantage because they hold a two-point lead over Azerbaijan and need only to avoid defeat to gain elevation to League C.

Azerbaijan have to go for the victory but that will leave them more exposed against a team who have better players in key areas.

Kosovo warmed up with a 5-0 triumph away to Malta on Saturday and are solid odds-on favourites to sign off with a home win.
