French Cup semi-final, 8.05pm Wednesday

Treble-chasing Monaco have all but given up on one of those three prizes with coach Leonardo Jardim proclaiming he’s sending out an under-strength side against Paris St-Germain in this Coupe de France semi-final at the Parc des Princes.

The Ligue 1 leaders and Champions League semi-finalists have got a really busy few weeks coming up and this clash has become little more than a distraction.

It has fallen at a poor time for Monaco so it's little wonder Jardim is going to make wholesale changes.

They played a hard-fought epic at Lyon in the league on Sunday (over 24 hours after PSG eased past Montpellier) and will take on Toulouse on Saturday, 24 hours before the Parisians visit Nice.

It’s a really tough schedule for Monaco, who then take on Juventus next Wednesday.

So rests for Kylian Mbappe and Radamel Falcao are assured and this could easily turn into a repeat of the League Cup final between these two earlier in the month, a match PSG won 4-1. And that was against a full-strength Monaco side.

Monaco have won six in a row since that loss while PSG have won eight on the bounce. These are two red-hot sides in sizzling nick but team selection is going to have a massive part to play this evening and Jardim seems completely unthreatened by the competition rules which state seven first-teamers must start.

The PSG half-time/full-time bet has copped in seven of their last eight so take them to get the job done early on home soil.
