Motherwell should be confident of troubling a makeshift Aberdeen defence in their William Hill Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park and they can score before the closing stages.

The Dons have been rocked after suspensions to three key players, captain Graeme Shinnie, inspirational Kenny McLean and regular right-back Shay Logan.

There are also doubts about their ability to handle the big occasion - they consistently flop against the Old Firm and even Hearts and Hibs.

Well have a habit of raising their game against the big guns and drew with both Celtic and Rangers recently and they may well go for it early against an unfamiliar looking Dons side.

Recommendation
First Motherwell goal before the 72nd minute
