The late market move for Mohamed Salah was justified when he claimed the PFA Player of the Year award and now Liverpool’s Egyptian king has his eyes set on ending Roma’s Champions League dream.

Salah spent two fruitful years in Rome before departing for Merseyside, although he has taken his goalscoring to a new level since signing for Liverpool.

The flying winger bagged 29 league goals with the Giallorossi, a total he has already beaten with Liverpool.

Salah, who has scored 20 goals in his last 18 appearances for Liverpool, is on 31 Premier League goals for the campaign and notched 41 goals times in all competitions.

Bet365 and Betway rate Salah 9-2 to score three or more against Roma across the two legs of the semi-final but Roma are determined to nullify the threat of their former star.

Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman said: “We have special tactics for Salah but I’m not going to share them. Italian defence, that’s what I’m hoping for.”

Salah is 50-1 to take the top goalscorer honours at the World Cup and a strong performance for Egypt in Russia will only increase the speculation surrounding his future.

However, Hills are 1-16 that he is still a Liverpool player after the summer transfer window with a switch to Real Madrid at 10-1 and Barcelona are 33-1.

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique remains a warm order to become Arsenal’s next manager – the Spaniard is 5-2 favourite to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.

Napoli cut Juventus’s lead to one point in Serie A following a 1-0 victory in Turin on Sunday night. Juve are 10-11 for the title with Napoli at evens.
