Preview

Shamrock Rovers can put the final nail in the coffin of St Patrick's Athletic's title hopes by winning in Inchicore on Friday evening.

The Hoops have hit form again and were brilliant at Sligo Rovers last weekend, bossing large periods of the contest.

Saints, meanwhile, remain stretched by injuries and with a draw no good to them in the title race, they will have to give it a go. That will suit Rovers, who were comfortably better than Pat's when they last clashed in Inchicore.

Having had an arduous 120 minutes against Finn Harps on Tuesday, Dundalk look a skinny price to beat Sligo as they are also still without a number of players.

Sligo tend to perform well against Dundalk, they go there the fresher side and have a great chance of causing an upset.

In Division One, Shelbourne have put to bed any doubts about their form and should be far superior to an ordinary Cabinteely side, while UCD look overpriced for their trip to Galway following a terrific effort in the cup against Waterford.
