Hard to see beyond another emphatic Celtic success at Ibrox

Rangers vulnerable from the flanks

Celtic started the week at evens to win at Rangers in this Old Firm showdown. That price has unsurprisingly long since been snapped up and quick-off-the-mark punters could be quids in after another convincing win for the Hoops at Ibrox.

In April, Celtic romped to their biggest victory at the home of their rivals when they won 5-1, but Rangers were actually flattered by that annihilation. It could and should have been even worse.

But first, the good news for Rangers. The gap has since narrowed between the sides. Pedro Caixinha has assembled almost an entirely new squad and he has found some gems such as on-fire striker Alfredo Morelos.

They also will almost certainly come flying out of the traps and have a right go. They could even take the lead. But that's the end of the optimism for the home side.

They have major defensive worries with injuries to key players and, crucially, they are weak on the flanks.

That's Celtic's best line of attack and the prospect of their wide men attacking and running at Rangers' full-backs down the wings must terrify their fans. Rangers seem to concede goal after goal from crosses from either side against teams with much less quality than the Hoops.

Rangers fade in games too and Celtic could exploit that, although manager Brendan Rodgers may tinker with his line-up given that he will view their Champions League game at Anderlecht next week as far more important.

Whatever line-up he goes for, it's hard to make a case for anything another than another emphatic away win.
