Halifax's form has tailed off but a visit from fellow strugglers Chesterfield could help the Shaymen conjure up a winning formula.

A 3-0 thumping at Aldershot last weekend extended Halifax's winless run to eight matches but their performances at their West Yorkshire base haven't been too bad.

Jamie Fullarton's men have picked up 14 of their 20 points at The Shay and have won all three of their home league games against bottom-half opposition.

And fifth-bottom Chesterfield could be there for the taking. The Spireites have not won since mid-August, a run stretching 12 matches, and they are finding goals hard to come by.
