Europa League first qualifying round
5pm Thursday

Last season Copenhagen were on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League, only to lose their playoff tie on away goals against Qarabag.

Their pursuit of European glory starts in Kuopio this time where they face Finnish outfit KuPS in the first qualifying round of the Europa League in what looks likely to be a high-scoring affair.

Copenhagen play the two-legged tie either side of their first game of the Danish Superliga campaign, whereas KuPS are in full swing in the Finnish Veikkausliiga so the Danes could struggle to sound out their opposition.

KuPS are on the fringes of the top three in their domestic league, and only leaders HJK Helsinki have netted more than their 31 league goals this campaign.

They have shown potency in the final third domestically and have not been involved in a goalless home tie all season.

Copenhagen, meanwhile, scored 50 goals in their Superliga campaign last season and had 13 different scorers across the course of the season and they will be keen to register an away goal.

With continental experience on their side, the Danes naturally look the side more likely to progress but the value lies in the goals market and both teams to score is a good option.

Recommendation
Both teams to score
1pt 11-4 general
