Dundee United can edge out visitors
Ladbrokes Championship
BBC Alba, 5.15pm Saturday
Dundee United should just about to be able to overcome a spirited challenge from Dumbarton at Tannadice.
United are desperate to climb above Falkirk into second place in the Ladbrokes Championship which would mean they play two fewer games in the playoffs.
However, the Sons are notoriously difficult to beat and have continued to punch hugely above their weight this season as they battle to stay up.
United have beaten sides such as St Mirren and Ayr at home by the odd goal recently and Dumbarton are of a similar standard to those teams.
Ray McKinnon’s side should be backed to scrape another narrow win but don’t expect a well-organised Dumbarton side to crumble.
Recommendation
Dundee Utd & under 3.5 goals
