Bristol City have won just one of their last 19 league games at Ashton Gate but they played with plenty of purpose in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Blackburn and look decent value to follow up with three points against promotion hopefuls Stoke on Wednesday night.

The Robins were on the front foot from the outset against Rovers and had more than enough chances to put the game out of sight.

Winning home games has become something of a psychological obstacle for the Robins but City's performances seem to be improving and, given time, results should follow.

Stoke have been in the top six for most of the campaign but they were recently rocked by Harry Souttar's season-ending knee injury and a lack of defensive solidity could cost them in the west country.
