Barcelona set sights on swoop for in-demand winger Willian

Manchester United may be facing defeat in their battle to sign winger Willian from Chelsea.

The Red Devils have long been credited with an interest in the Brazilian but face competition from Barcelona, who are steadily upgrading their La Liga title-winning squad.

Last week Barca paid a reported £36.5m to secure Brazilian winger Malcom from Bordeaux and they also have their sights set on Willian, who is evens with Coral to switch from Stamford Bridge to Camp Nou.

Coral make Manchester United the 7-4 second favourites in their Willian's next club market and offer 8-1 Manchester City.

Promoted Fulham have been among the bigger spenders this summer and could be close to another major deal with England international defender Alfie Mawson odds-on to join the Cottagers from Swansea.

Betway are betting on Mawson's club at the end of the transfer window and have slashed Fulham's odds from 13-8 to 8-11.

Burnley are 11-10 with Betway to sign Mawson, who is 13-2 to stay with Swansea.

Fulham also seem to be on course to keep Ryan Sessegnon, who is 1-20 with Sky Bet to stay at Craven Cottage and 7-1 to leave.
