World Darts Championship accumulator tips for Monday 19 December
De Sousa among five bets in our 6-1 acca
There is plenty to look forward to on day five from Alexandra Palace, where the legend that is Steve Beaton returns to compete in his 32nd World Championship.
The pick of the ties, however, is the second-round clash between the Special One, Jose De Sousa, and Simon 'The Wizard' Whitlock. If both players bring their A-game then expect maximums galore.
All bets must be placed by 12.45pm Monday
Racing Post Sport’s Aaron Ashley successfully landed a 9-2 fourfold on Sunday and has selected for Monday:
Over 3.5 sets in Andrew Gilding v Robert Owen
Danny Jansen to beat Paolo Nebrida
Jose De Sousa to beat Simon Whitlock
Ritchie Edhouse to beat David Cameron
Steve Beaton to beat Danny van Trijp.

Andrew Gilding v Robert Owen
Robert Owen has picked up some eye-catching results on the Modus Super Series this year and that should serve him well on his World Championship debut. But Andrew Gilding, who makes his return to Alexandra Palace after a six-year absence, has been in resurgent mood. Nerves could play their part in a big occasion for both players, suggesting a lengthy duel is in store.
Danny Jansen v Paolo Nebrida
Danny Jansen claimed a Players Championship title earlier in the season and the 20-year-old looks a name to follow for the future. Paolo Nebrida's Asian Tour figures aren't much to get excited about, so Jansen should seal his place in round two.
Jose De Sousa v Simon Whitlock
Simon Whitlock was lucky to come through his opening game with Christian Perez as he looked woefully out-of-sorts averaging just 87.25 and finding only three maximums. A repeat performance will surely be punished by Jose De Sousa who, although inconsistent, is capable of some lofty averages.
Ritchie Edhouse v David Cameron
Ritchie Edhouse should find a way to see off limited Canadian chucker David Cameron, who is one of many tournament debutants. Edhouse averaged 95.67 and took a set off world number one Gerwyn Price in losing in the second round at Alexandra Palace 12 months ago and he also sprung a surprise in Michael Smith at the Players Championship Finals just last month.
Steve Beaton v Danny van Trijp
Steve Beaton, set for a record-breaking 32nd consecutive World Championship appearance, should be too streetwise for Danny van Trijp. The Dutchman has found wins hard to come by this year and, with Beaton also likely to get the backing of the crowd, this is an occasion that could easily get to him.
