Mexican firepower makes them dangerous
Manager Juan Carlos Osorio
Failed USA coach Bruce Arena believes it's the survival of the fittest in their World Cup qualifying region and he came out with one of the quotes of the campaign when he said: "I would love to see one of these hotshot teams from Europe come over here and play in our Concacaf."
America were tripped up to such an extent that they won't be in Russia, but Mexico had few problems overcoming the likes of Trinidad & Tobago as they qualified comfortably for their seventh straight finals.
The Confederations Cup semi-finalists were hammered 4-1 by Germany in the last four but their considerable firepower always makes them dangerous opponents in one-off fixtures.
Javier Hernandez, Raul Jimenez, Jesus Manuel Corona and Hirving Lozano are decent threats in the attacking third and Porto midfielder Hector Herrera is another one to watch next summer.
