Eriksen is essential to Denmark's progress
Manager Age Hareide
Football is a team sport but Denmark push the boundaries on that as they are heavily reliant on Christian Eriksen, who will determine just how far they progress in Russia next summer.
For many the Danes were the team to avoid in the third pot of seeds and Eriksen is a major part of that, scoring 11 times in qualifying which was the same number as Romelu Lukaku with only Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski more prolific in the European zone.
Three of those came in a brilliant playoff hat-trick away to Ireland and if Eriksen is on song Denmark will be dangerous. If the Tottenham playmaker is below par it could be curtains.
Unbeaten in ten games including a 4-0 win over Poland and a 1-1 draw with Germany, Eriksen's Denmark are a dangerous bunch.
