Reading and Arsenal could hardly have had more contrasting starts to the new Women's Super League season and bookmakers expect the gulf in class between the sides to show at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday.

While the Royals are propping up the WSL standings following a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United and a 2-1 loss at Brighton, Arsenal went top before the international break with back-to-back 4-0 triumphs.

As a result, the north London outfit are 1-25 to take the spoils when the sides clash and the best value in this fixture could come in the goalscorer markets.

At 21-10, England's Euro 2022 star Beth Mead could represent value to bag the first goal of the game, having already scored three times in the WSL this term.

Mead broke the deadlock after only five minutes last time out in the league and can strike first again.

Aston Villa have made a solid start to the season with two wins from two games and September's WSL player of the month Rachel Daly has played a key role in that.

Villa boss Carla Ward has reaped the rewards of deploying Daly, who operates at full-back for England, in attack and the 30-year-old has scored four times in their first three matches in all competitions.

She looks a fine bet to get on the scoresheet against West Ham on Saturday.
