Day Two matches: Betting preview, tips and when to watch the action in France
Norway v Nigeria | Spain v South Africa | Germany v China
BBC from 2pm, Saturday
Norway v Nigeria
BBC Red Button, 8pm
Norway would have a much better chance of replicating their World Cup success of 1995 if they had the world's best player Ada Hegerberg available and Nigeria are equipped to put their defence under plenty of pressure.
The Super Falcons have dominated African women's football for years, winning the continental competition on nine of 11 occasions, but they have won just three of their 22 matches at the World Cup.
However, Asisat Oshoala, who has recently agreed a permanent deal with Champions League finalists Barcelona, can provide a big goal threat against a team who have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten outings.
Isabell Herlovsen netted a hat-trick in Norway's 7-2 win over South Africa in their final warm-up game on Sunday, so they can be expected to be potent in attack, but if they can concede twice against Banyana Banyana, they could be vulnerable against opposition of superior quality.
Recommendation
Both teams to score
2pts 11-10 bet365
Key stat
Nine of Norway's last 11 matches have featured more than two goals.
Spain v South Africa
BBC Red Button, 5pm
South Africa are making their debut in the finals of the Women's World Cup and tRAhey have been handed a difficult opener against one of the up-and-coming European teams.
La Roja are making their second appearance and have lost just three of their last 25 matches.
South Africa lost to Nigeria in the final of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations on penalties but have failed to win in nine matches since, and a 7-2 loss to Norway in their final warm-up game is hardly ideal preparation.
Spain's Jennifer Hermoso has scored 24 goals in 28 games for Atletico Madrid this season and was on target in their 1-1 draw against Japan on Sunday, so expect her to lead the charge for a team who could be dark horses for outright glory.
Recommendation
J Hermoso first goalscorer
1pt 14-5 Betway
Key stat
Spain were the only team in Europe to win all eight of their qualifying matches.
Germany v China
BBC1, 2pm
Germany have found their form after a disappointing SheBelieves Cup, winning ten and drawing two of their last 12 games so it is little wonder they are confident they can claim a third World Cup victory.
They are beginning to find their feet under new coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, but Germany have proved to be slow starters under her stewardship, which began after she failed to guide Switzerland to the finals.
They were the highest scorers in European qualifying but 19 goals came in two games against the Faroe Islands.
Germany have been leading at half-time in just two of their last seven matches and while China have drawn one and lost three of their recent friendlies against European teams, they conceded only one goal before the half-hour mark, so it may take a while for the Group B favourites to break through.
Recommendation
Draw-Germany double result
1pt 3-1 Betway
Key stat
China have won just three of their last 13 matches against European opposition.
