Viktor Gyokeres latest transfer odds: Arsenal and United vying for Swedish striker
Where will Viktor Gyokeres play next season? We break down the latest transfer odds and top contenders for his signature

Top-class strikers are an invaluable commodity in world football and Viktor Gyokeres has proved himself to be just that in two seasons with Sporting CP.
Signed from Championship side Coventry ahead of the 2023-24 campaign, Gyokeres has become one of Europe's deadliest marksmen during his time in the Portuguese capital, leading to more than a few admiring glances from clubs across Europe.
If bookmakers' odds are correct, then Gyokeres will be gracing the Premier League next season with Arsenal rated most likely so snap him up at 4-5.
Manchester United, who were previously odds-on to be Gyokeres' next club, are next in at 5-1, with Italian giants Juventus on offer at 8-1.
And given that it is 16-1 with bet365 that he remains a Sporting player, it seems likely that Gyokeres will be on the move this summer.

Why is Viktor Gyokeres a man in demand?
Put simply: goals.
Gyokeres has become a goal machine during his two seasons with Sporting, netting 97 in 102 appearances for the club, including 39 in just 33 league games this campaign and a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Given his prolific output, it seems strange looking back that Brighton, so often heralded as shrewd operators in the transfer market, were happy to sell him to Coventry in 2021, having failed to make a single league appearance for the Seagulls in four years at the Amex.
Which clubs are favourites to sign Viktor Gyokeres this summer?
Club | Best odds | Reason for interest |
---|---|---|
Arsenal | 4-9 | The Gunners have been crying out for an out-and-out striker for a number of seasons and it again cost Mikel Arteta's men dear in last term's Premier League title race. |
Man Utd | 7-2 | United boss Ruben Amorim knows Gyokeres well from their time at Sporting together and the Swede would be a significant upgrade on Rasmus Hojlund. |
Juventus | 9-2 | Sixteen draws were arguably the biggest reason Juve didn't mount a title challenge in 2024-25 so beefing up an attack which scored 58 times in 38 league outings is a necessity. |
Atletico Madrid | 20-1 | Reportedly set to overhaul their attack. Julian Alvarez (17) and Alexander Sorloth (20) scored half of Atleti's La Liga goals this season as they finished 12 points off the pace in third. |
Napoli | 20-1 | Regained the Scudetto but were not that prolific and will likely need to find a replacement for Victor Osimhen, who is another striker likely to be on the move this summer. |
Liverpool | 20-1 | The Premier League champions have few weaknesses but Darwin Nunez hasn't lived up to his pricetag and if there is a vacancy in the Reds' starting 11 then it is definitely up front. |

Who are the outside bets to sign Viktor Gyokeres
At 16-1 to still be a Sporting player following the summer transfer window, it would seem that it is unlikely that Gyokeres will be plying his trade in Portugal next season despite reportedly having three years left on his contract.
The Swede was spotted at Saturday's Champions League final between PSG and Inter, although given the way Paris romped to their first European title, it is hard to see many players getting in Luis Enrique's side at present, such are the Spaniard's options.
Inter are in greater need of a squad overhaul, but are 40-1 to snap up Gyokeres, more than double the price of Chelsea, who were close to signing Victor Osimhen last summer, so clearly want to bolster their frontline.
The arrival of Liam Delap from Ipswich means it is unclear whether the Blues would be willing to also splash the cash on Gyokeres, though, and at 27, he doesn't quite fit their model of signing younger players.
Our verdict: Arsenal lead the race
It's safe to say Viktor Gyokeres is a man in demand and the open betting as to where he will be at the end of the summer shows just how many suitors the Swede has.
Manchester United have long been admirers and a reunion with Ruben Amorim, who helped Gyokeres reach new heights at Sporting, might have looked appealing, but reports suggest he has told United that he's not interested in a move to Old Trafford.
It would be a surprise if Liverpool were to make their move given the amount of money they are investing in Florian Wirtz, while Arsenal were previously thought to be focusing their attentions on Benjamin Sesko.
However, the market has moved back in the Gunners' favour in recent days, with Mikel Arteta's men now odds-on ahead of United, with Juventus rated his most likely non-Premier League destination.
Spanish media suggesting Atletico are pushing hard for his signature, and have made the Swede their top priority this summer, but a Premier League move could be more tempting.
Market movers: how Gyokeres transfer odds are shifting
The market on Gyokeres' next club has been particularly lively in recent days, with Arsenal once again replacing Manchester United as favourites.
While reports suggest Arsenal prefer Benjamin Sesko, the Gunners are now just 4-9 to snap up Gyokeres, having been as big as 9-1 on Monday, June 9.
United, on the other hand, were odds-on to land the Swede a week ago, but can now be backed at 7-2.
Juventus have also been market movers over the last week, shortening into 9-2 from 25-1.
