Feyenoord v Utrecht
7.45pm Thursday

Just one point separates Feyenoord and Utrecht in the Eredivisie standings but bookmakers can see only one outcome when the sides meet in the last 16 of the Dutch Cup.

Feyenoord are 1-2 to make the quarter-finals of Holland’s premier knockout competition with the prospect of the final being at their De Kuip fortress an extra fillip for the Rotterdammers.

Recent history would suggest that this would be a home banker for many punters – Utrecht have lost on their last four visits to the Tub – but there is a case to be made for backing an upset.

Dick Advocaat’s visitors were beaten only 1-0 when they last travelled to Rotterdam in September and have won seven of their subsequent nine league outings.

None of those victories have come against a side of the quality of Feyenoord but given that Utrecht should be heading to De Kuip with their confidence high, having scored goals for fun of late, the 11-2 about them winning in 90 minutes and 3-1 that they qualify for the last eight look big prices.
