Manchester City are as short as 4-6 to retain their Premier League crown after going top with a 2-0 win against Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola's men went into the game as 10-11 favourites to win the title and justified 3-10 favouritism against an Everton team who have now lost four of their last five home league matches.

Liverpool, who have a game in hand over the Citizens, are 5-4 to finish top of the pile with Tottenham a best-priced 25-1.

Defeat for the Toffees has cranked up the pressure on their manager Marco Silva, who is the is 5-2 favourite in the next manager to leave market.

The Merseyside club went behind in added time at the end of the first half when Aymeric Laporte nodded in David Silva's free kick. Everton mustered only one shot on target in the game and Gabriel Jesus doubled City's advantage just before the final whistle.

Everton's next match is a visit to Silva's former club Watford.

Their next four games at Goodison Park are against Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, and Sky Bet rate them 10-11 to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League.
