Title-chasing Tranmere can deliver the goods

Lincoln extended their extraordinary FA Cup run with a 1-0 victory at Burnley on Saturday but National League promotion is their priority and they have a great chance to tighten their grip on top spot by winning at basement boys North Ferriby.

The Imps should stay on the winning trail against a side who are 37 points below them, but they may face a more difficult night than promotion rivals Tranmere, who host Boreham Wood.

Tranmere - four points behind Lincoln having played a game more - have not give up hope of top spot and are in a confident frame of mind after taking seven points from their last three matches.

They won 2-0 at Eastleigh on Saturday and should be just as comfortable against mid-table Wood, who have won one of their last 11 league fixtures.

Eastleigh's playoff hopes have evaporated with a six-match winless sequence and they could suffer a home defeat against ninth-placed Macclesfield, who have the incentive of climbing to within three points of the top five with a victory.
