Tianjin Tianhai have stopped the bleeding with three straight draws in the Chinese Super League and they may just be value to muster a fourth at home to in-form Guangzhou Evergrande.

Fabio Cannavaro’s Evergrande team head north following a six-match winning streak in the league and have reached the Asian Champions League quarter-finals.

They have not lost to Tianjin Tianhai in five meetings, winning the last two to nil, and are visiting a side short of confidence.

When they met earlier in the season Guangzhou won 3-0 despite being a man down after 26 minutes.

And they have managed to keep clocking up the wins despite the non-appearance through injury of Anderson Talisca, who had bagged seven goals in eight before picking up a knee injury. Wei Shihao has stepped up to the plate and the changes made in the Brazilian frontman’s absence have been seamless.

Guangzhou are incredibly short for an away trip no matter how supposedly superior they are to their opponents.

And rushing out to back them at 4-9 would seem riskier than usual given Tianjin have just gone three games unbeaten, all draws. The most recent of those was 2-2 at home to sixth-placed Jiangsu, who equalised in the last minute.

Choong-Kyun Park's troops are clearly putting up a fight and maybe the stalemate is the value bet at 7-2.

Recommendation
Draw
1pt 7-2 general
