PSV Eindhoven beat Maccabi Tel Aviv by a narrow 1-0 margin in the first leg of their Europa Conference League tie but the Israeli side mustered just one shot in the game and look up against it in the return.

Tel Aviv are third in their domestic table and were beaten by Austrian side LASK on home soil in the group stages. PSV are a sharp step up in class.

Roger Schmidt’s squad are just five points off Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie and were unfortunate to drop into this competition after just missing out on a Europa League knockout place at the hands of Monaco and Real Sociedad.

They have some of the most highly touted young players in Europe and can make the gulf in class tell.

The rest of Thursday's card is delicately balanced, with sides separated by a single goal in five of the eight games. Qarabag v Marseille is one of the more one-sided affairs between and the Azerbaijani team are looking to overcome a 3-1 deficit.
