Torino claimed the valuable Serie A scalp of Roma on Sunday and can use their 2-0 win as a springboard for success in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia.

The Turin club were arguably outplayed in the capital, allowing Roma 31 shots and 59 per cent possession, but their grit at the back and the clinical nature of Andrea Belotti helped them to victory.

They may not have to be as resolute against Genoa, who limped past lowly Sassuolo last time out to earn their only win in nine league fixtures.

Genoa have managed only 19 goals in 18 league games this season.
