Next Premier League manager to leave odds: Under-fire Solskjaer favourite to go

Norwich boss Farke is also feeling the heat

Last week's 5-0 drubbing by rivals Liverpool appears to have left Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the verge of being sacked as far as boookmakers are concerned but the Norwegian will at least be in charge for this week's contest against Tottenham.

Solskjaer still remains 4-9 favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked this season after Watford dismissed Xisco and Steve Bruce departed Newcastle but is there any value in that price?

United have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches and hopes of a potential title bid are fading fast.

But looking at the bigger picture, Solskjaer has been in charge for only two whole seasons and led the Red Devils to third and second spot in those campaigns, while also reaching the final of last term's Europa League.

It is not the United of the Sir Alex Ferguson days but it is perhaps the closest they have been since.

And, even accounting for the scattergun nature clubs adopt with managers nowadays, it does not sit right that Solskjaer would have the capacity to bring in Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo in one summer and then not even get half a season to work with them.

That is not to say Solskjaer has done everything right, but there are reasons to think he may not be out the Old Trafford door as soon as bookmakers think and, if betting in this market, the 7-2 on offer for Daniel Farke to leave next is more appealing.

Norwich have failed to win any of their opening nine Premier League fixtures, and fans have largely attributed their demise to poor decisions from Farke.

Christos Tzolis and Milot Rashica were brought in for around £19 million this summer but are often left on the bench and it is surely only a matter of time before the Canaries owners hit the panic button and get rid of Farke.
