Mark Kennedy Macclesfield
Irish winger Mark Kennedy had a successful playing career featuring stints at Liverpool, Manchester City and Wolves but starts his managerial career towards the foot of the EFL after agreeing terms until the end of the season with Sky Bet League Two strugglers Macclesfield.
Kennedy previously had coaching stints with Manchester City's academy and Wolves Under 23s but faces a different challenge with cash-strapped Macc, who are third from bottom in the fourth tier.
The 43-year-old's brief is to improve results and stave off the drop but a lot depends on the financial status of the club, which remains uncertain.
Macclesfield were deducted six points earlier in the season after player strikes contributed to the postponement of two fixtures.
They are far from out of the woods and face a winding-up petition, which will be considered on March 25.
