3pm Saturday

Nottingham Forest v Blackburn

Martin O'Neill has admitted defeat in aiming for the Sky Bet Championship playoffs this season and his Nottingham Forest side look overrated for their home clash with Blackburn.

The City Ground has been comforting for Forest, who have mainly had trouble on the road, but they were outplayed in their last home encounter despite beating Swansea 2-1.

They were poor in the game before that, drawing 1-1 at Ipswich, and have since lost 2-1 at Rotherham and 3-0 at Sheffield Wednesday.

Blackburn have had a tough run of fixtures, but still managed to come out of their sticky spell with a fully deserved 2-0 success over Derby on Tuesday which should boost Tony Mowbray's squad.

Recommendation
Blackburn +0.5 on Asian handicap

Exeter v Port Vale

John Askey has made a difference since arriving as Port Vale's new manager and despite not having much to play for they could cause problems for League Two playoff hopefuls Exeter.

Vale have avoided defeat in six of their last seven games and were dominant derby victors over Crewe last time out with talisman Tom Pope bagging the winning goal.

In those seven fixtures Vale have had 30 shots on target compared to 15 for their opponents, while Exeter have won only three of their last 11 outings.

Recommendation
Port Vale +0.25 on Asian handicap
