Tottenham 3-1 Southampton

Both teams have scored in 14 of the last 15 meetings between these sides and the same looks likely to occur again when Southampton visit Tottenham in this season opener.

The Saints conceded 67 goals last season, the fourth-most of any Premier League team and face a potent Spurs' attack.

Leeds 2-0 Wolves

Both teams scored in just 14 of Wolves' 38 Premier League matches last season and the Midlands club were the lowest-scorers to stay up last year.

Leeds have undergone plenty of changes this summer but with the return of Patrick Bamford from injury, they could come out on top of a low-scoring affair.

Newcastle 2-2 Nottingham Forest

Four of the last five meetings between the clubs have featured over 3.5 goals and given the attacking options on display for both sides, this could be a high-scoring affair on Forest's return to the top flight for the first time since 1999.

Everton 0-1 Chelsea

Both teams have scored in just two of the last nine meetings between these teams and both have looked disjointed at times in the lead up to the new season.

Everton may struggle to replace Richarlison's goals while Thomas Tuchel's side will need time to gel so a low-scoring affair looks the likeliest outcome.

Manchester United 2-2 Brighton

Over 2.5 goals has landed in eight of the last nine meetings between this pair and the same could land again when they clash at Old Trafford.

Manchester United will be keen to get on the front foot under new boss Erik ten Hag but questions remain about their defensive capabilities.

West Ham 1-1 Manchester City

West Ham's last three home games against Manchester City have ended in draws and the defending Premier League champions have been slow starters on occasions, losing to Tottenham in the first game of last season.

However given their attacking options they should be able to take a point from the London Stadium.
