Team news

Stoke
Tom Ince and James Chester could return to the starting line-up.

Birmingham
Jude Bellingham and Harlee Dean are in contention for starts. Maikel Kieftenbeld could replace Craig Gardner if the caretaker manager decides not to play himself.

Match preview

Birmingham will be hoping the midweek departure of manager Pep Clotet will give them a lift at Stoke in the Sky Bet Championship on Sunday.

Craig Gardner and Steve Spooner are in temporary charge of the Blues, who may be worth backing to continue their great record against the Potters. Birmingham have lost just once in their last 13 clashes with Stoke and have won the last four.

While Birmingham have lost their last three games, their away record has been decent since the turn of the year. They have lost only twice on the road since December, at Fulham and against Leicester in the FA Cup.

They should be capable of holding off a Stoke side who have won once in five games themselves.

Key stat

Birmingham have won four and drawn four of their ten visits to teams who started the weekend in the bottom half.
