Both teams struggling early in MLS season

Home form is usually to the fore in Major League Soccer but neither Dallas nor Seattle managed to win their first matches of the season in front of their own fans.

The Texan outfit could only draw at home to Real Salt Lake two weeks ago and that form took a knock last weekend when Real were beaten 5-1 at home by new boys Los Angeles.

The same team beat Seattle 1-0 on the opening weekend before the Sounders were defeated 3-1 on aggregate by Guadalajara in the Concacaf Champions League quarter-finals, so neither side looks in great shape at this early stage of the season.

Dallas, who have had 14 days to rest since the Salt Lake fixture, should be the fresher squad but it's still early in the season and they look awfully short at odds-on.

MLS Cup runners-up Seattle won 4-0 when Dallas visited Washington in October as the Texas side's form tailed off towards the end of last season.

The teams had played out a dull 0-0 draw at the Toyota Stadium a month earlier and that could prove to be the best value option this time.
