Mansfield have only one home game on their EFL Trophy group stage schedule but they can make the most of it by beating Doncaster at Field Mill.
Tonight’s match comes at an inconvenient time for Donny, who are ravaged by injuries.
Darren Ferguson’s selection is complicated by the absence of eight defenders as Joe Wright is with Wales Under-21s and Tyler Garrett, Niall Mason, Mitchell Lund, Mathieu Baudry, Craig Alcock, Luke McCullough and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair are sidelined. Ferguson has suggested he will use the loan market but whether he gets any of the deals done in time for this evening’s match remains to be seen.
