St Mirren v Dunfermline: free betting tips, preview and when to watch on TV
Jim Goodwin could be in for a tough first game in charge
BT Sport 1, 3pm Sunday
Dunfermline can cause problems for new St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin on his managerial bow in Paisley.
The Saints lost boss Oran Kearney, who kept them in the Ladbrokes Premiership last term and moved to replace him with prodigal son Goodwin.
Goodwin is an excellent boss, but it will take him to time to put a stamp on this squad.
The Pars have had a big summer turnaround of players and the capture of 34-goal striker Kevin Nisbet from rivals Raith looks an inspirational bit of business.
At this stage of the Betfred Cup, favourites are especially vulnerable and the Pars are worth a dabble to draw or win.
Recommendation
Dunfermline or draw double chance
