FA Cup second round
BBC2, 7.55pm Friday

National League promotion contenders Solihull Moors are punching above their weight on a consistent basis but their FA Cup second-round tie at home to Blackpool is their toughest test of the season and they are unlikely to spring a surprise.

Blackpool are odds-on favourites and their 3-4-1-2 formation featuring three robust central defenders looks well suited for the challenge.

Damson Park is one of the smaller grounds in the fifth tier and conditions will be very different to those Blackpool are used to in Sky Bet League One.

Moors manager Tim Flowers – a former Premier League title winner with Blackburn - has talked of making life as difficult as possible for the Seasiders.

His team will try to play at a high tempo and utilise the considerable physical presence of centre-forward Danny Wright, their top scorer this season with eight league goals.

Those tactics are working a treat in the National League with Moors making a mockery of their pre-season status as 100-1 rank outsiders in the title betting.

After 21 games they are sixth, just seven points behind leaders Leyton Orient, who have played one game more.

Instead of battling against relegation they are eyeing up a playoff push and an extended cup run would provide a timely boost to their transfer budget.

However, Blackpool are also used to winning games as they plot a path to the Sky Bet Championship.

Their 2-0 loss at Doncaster on Saturday ended a five-match winning streak but Blackpool's extra class should give them the decisive advantage.
