Bristol City v Derby County

Derby have lost just once in 11 matches since Christmas Day and they can continue their steady rise with a victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

The Rams have won their last three games, scoring 11 goals in the process, and their improved performances should be a concern for Bristol City, who lost 3-1 at home to Birmingham on Friday despite taking the lead in the first minute.

Huddersfield Town v Cardiff City

Cardiff have been drawing too many games to force themselves into the top six and they may share the points for a 14th time this season when facing Huddersfield at the John Smith's Stadium.

The Bluebirds are unbeaten in nine games since losing 6-1 at QPR on New Year's Day but they face a tough test against the Terriers, who have boosted their survival hopes with victories in two of their last three games.

Luton Town v Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday's promotion push has stalled with just one victory from their last eight league games and they look unreliable favourites at basement boys Luton.

Luton are equally difficult to fancy, having lost six of their last seven league games, but they have scored in nine of their last 11 home fixtures and can play their part in a high-scoring game.

Reading v West Brom

West Brom were dominant 2-0 victors at Millwall on Sunday but they may have to settle for a point against mid-table Reading, who are a tough nut to crack at the Madejski Stadium.

The Baggies coped extremely well with a physical approach from Millwall at the weekend but the Royals, who have lost just one of their last seven home fixtures, could cause them more problems.

Stoke City v Preston North End

Michael O'Neill has got an excellent response from Stoke's players since his appointment last November but few of them have contributed as much as winger James McClean, who has rediscovered his goalscoring touch.

McClean has scored four goals in his last six home games and looks one of the main threats to promotion-chasing Preston, who have kept just one clean sheet in their last nine matches.
