Birmingham are emerging as draw specialists in the Sky Bet Championship, sharing the spoils in five of their seven matches, and they can take at least a point against playoff-chasing Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

It has been a frustrating start to the season for the Blues, who have played some good football without registering a victory.

On Birmingham's last road trip they deservedly led 2-0 at Nottingham Forest before conceding twice in the final 20 minutes.

And they were the better side for long periods of a 1-1 draw at home to West Brom on Friday.

Given the consistent level of performance it should be a matter of time before Birmingham start winning games and climbing the table. And there is every chance that Sheffield United could be their first scalp of the campaign.

There has been lots to like about United but they were slightly disappointing when losing 1-0 at Bristol City on Saturday.

Home supporters will expect them to bounce back but Birmingham are a tough nut to crack and are worth backing to avoid defeat.

Nottingham Forest v Sheffield Wednesday
Big-spending Nottingham Forest have got off to a slow start but their performances are steadily improving and they look value to topple Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground.

The Owls go into the match three points above their hosts and buoyed by coming from two goals behind to draw 2-2 at home to Stoke on Saturday.

But they haven't kept a clean sheet in any of their seven league matches this season and look ideal opponents for Forest, who just need a spark to ignite their campaign.

Forest dominated a 0-0 draw at Swansea at the weekend, winning the shot count 16 to five, and their luck may be about to turn.
