Shamrock Rovers have endured a miserable Europa Conference League campaign, claiming just one point from four matches, and they are still searching for their first goal in the competition.

That doesn't bode well for the visit of Gent, who swatted aside the Dubliners 3-0 on their own patch a month ago.

Disappointment has followed for the Belgian side, however, with back-to-back defeats against Djurgardens, although this provides the perfect opportunity to regain their winning touch.

That said, only three wins from their last 11 away games tempers enthusiasm to back them at odds-on and a low-scoring contest is likely.

Rovers have looked toothless and out of their depth in Europe and although this is a must-win game for Gent, they too have failed to score in two of their four group matches.

The visitors have seen one or both teams fail to score in eight of their last 11 matches in all competitions and that trend could continue at the Tallaght Stadium.
