Livingston almost paid the price for taking their foot off the gas at Albion on Saturday but can make it two wins out of two in the League Cup against Inverness.

This is the big game in Group G and Livi will be confident if they can carry on playing the football which saw them go 3-0 up at Cliftonhill before they conceded two late goals.

Scott Pittman, Josh Mullin and Bruce Anderson found the net for the SPL side, who could have had ten before Rovers finally got a foothold.

Thistle, meanwhile, were involved in their own struggles at Kelty Hearts, who created the better chances in a match Inverness won 1-0.

George Oakley’s late strike settled that tie but Inverness looked undercooked, although it has to be said Kelty put up a decent performance.

Following Saturday’s 2-0 home defeat by Dunfermline East Fife's record stands at eight straight competitive losses. They have failed to score in six of those.

The run-out probably did them good ahead of their trip to Alloa, who have enjoyed a solid pre-season and can win this tie handily enough.
