Verdict

Raith could inflict more misery on struggling Northern Irish side Glenavon in the Scottish Challenge Cup.

With only a handful of fixtures and plenty of short-priced favourites this weekend, there isn't a huge amount of choice for punters, but the Kirkcaldy side look a solid investment.

Rovers have been going great guns even though they have lost Lewis Vaughan, their best player, for the season with a serious knee injury.

Last week, they showed their battling qualities by coming back from two goals down at home to Ladbrokes League One big-spenders Falkirk to claim a 2-2 draw.

They had won four games in a row before that and should be brimming with confidence having won their last five games at their Stark's Park fortress.

In contrast, Glenavon's fortunes appear to have taken a nosedive in the Northern Irish Premiership.

The Lurgan side have been hammered 7-0 and 6-0 by Linfield and Larne in their last two games and they probably won't be relishing a trip to Fife.

Clyde look a big price for their trip to Arbroath.

Danny Lennon's side had been flying before last week's shock 2-0 home defeat to Montrose, but star striker David Goodwillie was suspended and he makes a massive difference to the Bully Wee.

They can shrug off what was their first defeat in seven games against Dick Campbell's Gayfield outfit, who have gone into a mini-slump after an impressive start to the season.

They have lost their last three games, although two of those were away to the Dundee clubs, and they have not won in five outings in all competitions.

Both teams are part-time and the Broadwood side look decent value at long odds.
