National League Saturday preview

After a poor start to the season Aldershot have slowly been climbing the National League table with just one defeat in their last eight and they can continue their good run against Chorley.

The hosts have really improved their home form and are unbeaten in their last six at the Recreation Ground, four of which were wins.

Chorley meanwhile are now eight points from safety at the foot of the table and without a win since November. Things have gone pear-shaped for the Magpies since their loan of striker Charles Vernam from Grimsby ended, and they have picked up just 14 points in the 26 games he did not feature.

Expect the Shots to collect another three points to power further clear of the drop zone.

Boreham Wood travel to Solihull with both teams in the mix for the playoffs, and the visitors could maintain their unbeaten run which stretches back to the end of October.

The Moors have won ten of their 13 home games but have struggled for consistency throughout the season, and Boreham Wood’s loan signing of ex-Solihull forward Adi Yussuf can give them an extra boost alongside prolific goalscorer Kabongo Tshimanga.

Harrogate have won seven of their last eight in all competitions and could add to that tally when they visit Ebbsfleet.

They are up to third in the table and have impressively kept clean sheets in their last four games. Given Ebbsfleet’s woeful home record and struggles at the back, Harrogate should outscore their opponents.
