St Johnstone look a decent bet to win this afternoon’s Betfred Cup encounter at McDiarmid Park against Falkirk.

Tommy Wright’s side haven’t had the distraction of European football this season and got off to a enjoyable start to the new campaign last week with an easy 3-1 win at Elgin, which could have been more.

In contrast, Falkirk fell to a shock defeat at Stirling Albion, before following Saints and beating Elgin.
