Russian pair likely to freeze each other out
Two Russian Premier League outfits who have had their day in the sun but now find themselves on the periphery of domestic affairs could play out a tight contest which is short on goalmouth action today.
Rubin, who won at Barcelona in the 2009-10 Champions League, and Anzhi, the one-time huge spenders in Russian football who threatened to change the financial dynamic of European football for a short time, meet in Kazan with none of their former glamour attached.
Last season was a poor campaign for both as Anzhi just about survived their relegation scrap, while Rubin were tenth of 16 teams, and a bet on under 1.5 goals is the way to go.
